I didn’t think I would like a food processor. I remember my mom had one in the 80’s. It was BIG and BULKY. There were many parts and pieces to it. It was hard to wash and you couldn’t put it in the dishwasher. My mom only used the food processor a few times. It became a kitchen ornament that collected dust. It took longer to drag out and set up all the parts to use versus chopping it by hand with a good knife. When I decided to buy a Hamilton Beach #70730 10cup with Bowl Scraper I was very skeptical. I found it on Amazon.
There are two blades included. One chopper blade and one disc blade. The disc blade can be used in either direction. One side has a grater/shredder and the other side a slicer. This blade is good for grating cheese for tacos and slicing cabbage for coleslaw.
The second blade is the standard chopping blade. Chop and mix food with the chopping blade. I use this blade to make dog treat dough with it.
I love the bowl scraper feature on this food processor. It can scrape the flour down into the dough without stopping the machine. It’s Great! (Sorry, I didn’t get a picture of it. Silly me, I kept forgetting to get one.)
I have found that I really like this food processor. During spring and summer, I get so much food that needs to be chopped, sliced or grated. Turn potatoes into hash browns just use the grater blade. Want coleslaw use the slicer.
It chops, shreds, slices, and grates. I’m so glad I got one.
